Technical specialists of the URAN Association have completed work on expanding the GÉANT channel (Vienna) from 10 to 20 Gbps. This will significantly speed up the work of Ukrainian scientists and educators on large-scale projects involving big data. In particular, the expanded channel will allow researchers of the Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology to speed up the processing of CMS experiment data at the Large Hadron Collider which will increase Ukraine’s reputation in the international scientific arena.
