Qidenus Mastered Book Scanner A2 — fast and careful digitisation of books and documents

Preserving cultural heritage in digital format — without any damage to the originals

What is digitisation and why is it important

Digitisation is the process of converting printed editions and documents into high-quality electronic format. It provides access to knowledge and collections without the risk of damaging the originals.

Digitised materials are easy to store, duplicate, and share among researchers, teachers, students, library and museum visitors, and collectors. It is also a reliable way to protect rare and valuable editions from loss or destruction.

Professional digitisation does more than just create a copy — it builds a digital archive that preserves the appearance and structure of the object with maximum accuracy.

What can be digitised

  • Books, journals, newspapers
  • Archival documents
  • Rare and antique editions
  • Photo albums, maps, posters
  • Banknotes, shares, bonds
  • Stamps

Advantages of working with us

We use a professional scanner that guarantees both quality and safety of originals. Specifically:

  • Careful handling — no physical contact with the original, no heating or harmful radiation that may damage paper.
  • Gentle scanning — books are scanned in a special V-shaped cradle, without unbinding or damaging the spine.
  • High image quality — every page is clear and detailed, down to the texture of the paper or the binding.
  • Speed and efficiency — large volumes of work are completed within short deadlines.
  • Experience and reliability — we have been working for many years with government organisations, libraries, and research institutions; we follow document management requirements, understand the specifics of working with the public sector, and can operate through the Prozorro procurement system if needed.
  • Flexible options — from additional image processing to creating macro-images of paper and binding materials.
  • Custom approach — we adapt the workflow to the specific needs of each client.
  • Convenient storage — digitised materials can be immediately saved in the URAN cloud, which is especially useful for large high-resolution files.

A regular office scanner cannot provide this: it heats and damages paper, cannot handle bound documents, and fails to preserve the appearance of a book as a whole object. Our equipment solves these problems and delivers results worthy of archives and museums
